Were working with a leading defence programme in Stevenage looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support assembly and integration across electronic and electro-mechanical systems. This role sits within a fast-paced production environment, supporting builds from sub-assembly level through to full system integration.What youll be doing: Supporting electronic and electro-mechanical assembly builds (CCA through to system level)Translating engineering drawings into clear manufacturing instructionsResolving production and process issues on the shop floorSupporting FMEA, FAI and validation activitiesUpdating build processes, tooling and route cardsWorking closely with production, quality and engineering teamsWhat theyre looking for: You must meet one of the following qualification pathways: Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or L3 Standard)AND Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 4 academic qualification (HNC, diploma, etc.)AND Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ)Not required if a L3 apprenticeship standard has been achieved OR Degree in a relevant Engineering subject.These qualifications must meet the required standard to be considered for the role.Additional Skill Requirements: Knowledge to interpret design drawings to produce manufacturing build instructions for skilled and semi-skilled operatorsExperience in Electronic Sub Assembly manufacture through to System level builds and expertise and knowledge of the assembly process for small/miniature Electro-Mechanical Actuation SystemsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a diverse team and the ability to read, analyse and interpret documents for accuracy and compliance with CodeEffective collaboration, customer understanding, and prompt response are crucialUnderstand and work with Company Processes and ProceduresIt is highly essential to have Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) training and SAP experienceWhat happens now?
