Electro-Mechanical Technician Automated Warehousing North Warwickshire / Home Counties £40-50k + OvertimeSamuel Frank is recruiting for an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join a growing automation business delivering automated warehousing and material handling systems across the UK. This role will suit a hands-on Electro-Mechanical Technician who enjoys assembling, fault finding and testing machinery both on the shop floor and on customer sites.The successful Electro-Mechanical Technician will split their time between the companys Innovation Centre in North Warwickshire (around 40%) and customer sites across the Home Counties (around 60%). Working alongside experienced Commissioning Engineers, youll help prepare machines for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) before travelling to customer sites to support installation, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and final commissioning.Key aspects of the Electro-Mechanical Technician role include;Mechanical and electrical assembly of bespoke automated warehousing equipmentSetting up machinery electrically and mechanically for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)Assisting Commissioning Engineers during FAT, identifying and resolving electrical and mechanical issues before equipment leaves the factoryPreparing equipment for installation, including positioning machinery onto rails and completing pre-delivery checksTravelling to customer sites across the Home Counties to assist with machine installation, assembly and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)Debugging and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults during both FAT and SATWorking closely with the software commissioning team to resolve issues during machine testingReading and working from electrical drawings and mechanical assembly drawingsPlenty of overtime available during installation and commissioning activitiesThe successful Electro-Mechanical Technician will have;Previous experience assembling, installing and fault finding industrial machineryExperience gained with a machine builder, OEM or special purpose machinery manufacturer would be idealMaintenance Engineers with strong electrical and mechanical fault finding skills are encouraged to apply18th Edition electrical qualificationValid CSCS card and experience working safely on customer sitesPLC fault finding experience would be beneficial but isnt essentialEngineering apprenticeship or technical qualifications would be advantageous, although strong hands-on experience is equally importantFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the Home CountiesThe successful Electro-Mechanical Technician will join a growing UK engineering team working on technically interesting automated warehousing and material handling systems.
