Chemical Process Operator Tarvin, Cheshire | £13.50 per hour | Weekly Pay | Immediate Start Available | Full Training Provided | Production Bonus Scheme After 3 Months | Temporary Ongoing PositionMeridian Business Support is recruiting on behalf of a growing specialist manufacturing business in Tarvin for a Chemical Process Operator . This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a STEM, engineering, chemistry or technical background who is looking to develop a long-term career within a highly skilled manufacturing environment.Joining a friendly team of nine production professionals, you will receive full training in specialist processes and have genuine opportunities to develop your technical knowledge and responsibilities over time.As a Chemical Process Operator , you will support manufacturing and finishing operations, ensuring components are prepared, processed and inspected to the highest standards.Your responsibilities will include:Unpacking, inspecting, jigging and masking components before processingRemoving processed parts, cleaning finished components and carrying out quality checksAssisting with the maintenance of chemical tanks, additives and filtration systemsSupporting experienced technicians with day-to-day production activitiesMachining finished components and completing final inspectionsMaintaining a clean, safe and organised working environmentFollowing your initial training, you will be taught specialist duties including:Daily process and equipment checksLoading and unloading treatment tanksPreparing and maintaining chemical solutionspH testing and chemical analysisMonitoring production quality and maintaining process recordsAssisting with equipment maintenance and troubleshootingTo be successful as a Chemical Process Operator , you will ideally have:An interest in engineering, chemistry, manufacturing, mechanical maintenance or other STEM-related subjectsA practical and hands-on approach to workStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityA positive attitude and willingness to learn new technical skillsPrevious experience within manufacturing, production, engineering, chemical processing, laboratory environments, quality inspection or technical operations would be beneficial but is not essential as full training will be provided.This role could suit candidates who have worked as a Production Operative, Process Technician, Manufacturing Operative, Engineering Technician, Technical Assistant, Laboratory Assistant or Mechanical Maintenance Assistant.Working Hours:Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pmAlternative working patterns may be considered for candidates with the right skills and experienceWeekend duties required once fully trained, typically one weekend in fourWeekend work generally involves 2 to 5 hours on Saturday and Sunday morningsOccasional Bank Holiday cover may be requiredBenefits£13.50 per hour starting rateWeekly payImmediate start availableFull training and development programmeProgression into specialist technical dutiesDiscretionary production bonus scheme after 3 monthsSupportive small-team environmentStable, ongoing temporary opportunityPlease note that due to the semi-rural location of the site in Tarvin, public transport can be limited, particularly at weekends.
