Parts Advisor - Parts Supervisor - Commercial vehicles

A major commercial vehicle manufacturer is looking for a parts advisor who is ready to make the step up to Part Supervisor or someone who is already a Parts Supervisor to manage a small commercial vehicle parts team. HGV or commercial vehicle part experience is ideal or similar in automotive, plant, capital equipment, agriculture or construction vehicles.\n

\nROLE:As a Parts Supervisor you are responsible for the control of front and rear parts counters and controlling stock movements.\n

The Specifics

• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular stock audits, ordering parts as needed to meet demand without overstocking or understocking.

• Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and manage a team of parts personnel, ensuring that they meet department goals and deliver excellent service to customers and internal departments.
\n
• Customer Service: Oversee customer service activities, ensuring timely and accurate fulfilment of customer orders. Handle customer complaints or issues, ensuring satisfaction.
\n
• Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with parts suppliers, negotiate pricing, and ensure the timely delivery of parts.
\n
• Budgeting and Cost Control: Monitor and manage the department's budget, controlling costs and ensuring profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.
\n
• Compliance: Ensure the parts department complies with all safety regulations and company policies.
\n
• Sales and Marketing Support: Support the sales and service departments by ensuring they have the necessary parts to complete their jobs efficiently.

• Reporting: Generate regular reports on inventory status, staff performance, customer satisfaction, and departmental efficiency.
\n

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Got to have parts experience and are ready to make the step up to Supervisor level or are already a parts supervisor. Ideally like someone with HGV, Truck or commercial vehicle parts sector experience or similar, plant, agricultural / construction vehicles, capital equipment etc\n
