Manufacturing Engineer - Assembly and Integration

Were working with a leading defence programme in Stevenage looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support assembly and integration across electronic and electro-mechanical systems.This role sits within a fast-paced production environment, supporting builds from sub-assembly level through to full system integration.\n
\nWhat youll be doing:\n

\n
• Supporting electronic and electro-mechanical assembly builds (CCA through to system level)
\n
• Translating engineering drawings into clear manufacturing instructions
\n
• Resolving production and process issues on the shop floor
\n
• Supporting FMEA, FAI and validation activities
\n
• Updating build processes, tooling and route cards
\n
• Working closely with production, quality and engineering teams
\n

\n
\nWhat theyre looking for:You must meet one of the following qualification pathways:\n

\n
• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or L3 Standard)
\n

AND\n

\n
• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 4 academic qualification (HNC, diploma, etc.)
\n

AND\n

\n
• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ)
\n

Not required if a L3 apprenticeship standard has been achievedOR\n

\n
• Degree in a relevant Engineering subject.
\n

These qualifications must meet the required standard to be considered for the role.\n
\nAdditional Skill Requirements:\n

\n
• Knowledge to interpret design drawings to produce manufacturing build instructions for skilled and semi-skilled operators
\n
• Experience in Electronic Sub Assembly manufacture through to System level builds and expertise and knowledge of the assembly process for small/miniature Electro-Mechanical Actuation Systems
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a diverse team and the ability to read, analyse and interpret documents for accuracy and compliance with Code
\n
• Effective collaboration, customer understanding, and prompt response are crucial
\n
• Understand and work with Company Processes and Procedures
\n
• It is highly essential to have Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) training and SAP experience
\n
