HGV Class 2 Driver – Trunking and Store Delivery – Coatbridge

People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our client's growing transport operation in Coatbridge and the surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced and newly qualified drivers who are looking for stability, great earning potential, and long-term progression.

This role would suit applicants looking for a role as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, or Truck Driver.

Shifts:

• Monday to Friday (Saturday work available)

Rates of Pay:

• £15.58 – £20.73 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Safely operating and driving Class 2 vehicles to and from delivery locations
\n • Completing trunking and store deliveries
\n • Completing loading and unloading tasks with care and accuracy
\n • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
\n • Adhering to all traffic laws and road safety regulations
\n • Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
\n • Communicating effectively with dispatch, customers, and site staff

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category C Licence
\n • A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
\n • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, or CD codes)
\n • A reliable, professional, and punctual attitude
\n • Good communication and customer service skills
\n • A strong understanding of road safety and compliance
\n • The ability to work effectively with a Driver's Mate

Desirable Experience:

• Previous commercial or multi-drop delivery experience
\n • Experience handling large or bulky goods
\n • Strong customer interaction and service skills

Training:

• Full industry-related training provided
\n • Ongoing support and development throughout the assignment
