Manufacturing Team Leader

Our client is seeking a proactive and motivated Team Leader to join their busy manufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous leadership experience who enjoys supporting and developing a team while ensuring production runs safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with the Shift Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day activities within your designated work area, promoting best practice, maintaining quality standards and helping to drive continuous improvement. This role offers genuine opportunities for progression within a growing business.

Location: Hastings

Salary: £16.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate daily production activities

Allocate tasks and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently

Carry out quality checks and support the resolution of production issues

Complete all production paperwork and quality records

Support and coach team members, reinforcing training and best working practices

Report performance, attendance or operational concerns to the Shift Supervisor

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and increased efficiency

Work collaboratively with other departments to hit targets

Skills, Experience & Training Requirements

Previous experience leading or supervising a small team is essential

Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment

Experience using hand tools is highly desirable

Forklift licence would be advantageous

Experience with production paperwork, quality documentation or stock records is beneficial

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and experience using ERP, MRP or WMS systems
