Welder Fabricator

Role: Heavy Duty MIG Welder Start Date: Immediate Start Location: Ipswich, Suffolk Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00-15:30 (40 hours per week) Pay: £16.00 - £17.00 per hour (Weekly Pay) + Pay Review After 3 Months Are you an experienced Heavy Duty MIG Welder looking for a long-term opportunity? We're recruiting for a skilled welder to join a well-established engineering company in Ipswich, manufacturing and fabricating large, heavy-duty steel equipment. This isn't light fabrication - you'll be working with heavy gauge mild steel (20mm+), producing robust, high-quality welds on large engineering components. Overtime is regularly available during busy periods and is paid at enhanced rates. Heavy Duty Welder Duties: Heavy-duty MIG welding on 20mm+ mild steel Fabricating and assembling large steel components Working from detailed engineering drawings and weld symbols Using cutting, drilling and grinding machinery Maintaining high standards of weld quality and accuracy Working safely in line with company Health & Safety procedures What We're Looking For: Proven experience in heavy fabrication and heavy-duty MIG welding Confident welding thick section mild steel (20mm+) Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Experience working independently with minimal supervision Fabrication experience is highly desirable and may attract a higher hourly rateThis is a permanent opportunity following a successful 3-month probation period with a company that offers stability, overtime opportunities and long-term career prospects.
