Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery\n
    \n
  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams, including consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal specialists.
  • \n
  • Provide clear direction and coordination to ensure successful delivery of estate development, refurbishment, infrastructure, and property improvement projects.
  • \n
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with approved governance frameworks, project methodologies, and organisational policies.
  • \n
Project Planning & Control\n
    \n
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project plans aligned to RIBA stages and project delivery milestones.
  • \n
  • Coordinate internal resources and external suppliers to achieve project objectives.
  • \n
  • Track progress against agreed deliverables and report on performance, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • \n
  • Ensure project documentation remains accurate and up to date throughout the project lifecycle.
  • \n
Financial Management\n
    \n
  • Manage project budgets in accordance with approved Business Cases and Capital Programme funding.
  • \n
  • Monitor expenditure, forecast costs, and identify any budget variances.
  • \n
  • Ensure value for money is achieved across all estate investments.
  • \n
  • Support whole-life costing and investment appraisal activities.
  • \n
Risk, Compliance & Governance\n
    \n
  • Identify, assess, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation, CDM Regulations, Building Regulations, and all relevant statutory requirements.
  • \n
  • Escalate significant risks, issues, and opportunities to senior stakeholders where required.
  • \n
  • Ensure robust governance, assurance, and compliance processes are embedded throughout project delivery.
  • \n
Estates & Property Expertise\n
    \n
  • Act as a subject matter expert for estates project delivery.
  • \n
  • Provide specialist advice on property, facilities, and building-related matters.
  • \n
  • Support stakeholders in understanding estate opportunities, constraints, and operational impacts.
  • \n
  • Promote best practice in estate planning, asset utilisation, sustainability, and workplace design.
  • \n

Stakeholder Engagement

\n
    \n
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with senior leaders, service managers, property professionals, consultants, contractors, and external partners.
  • \n
  • Develop and implement communication plans to ensure stakeholders are informed of project progress, risks, impacts, and key decisions.
  • \n
  • Support operational teams through building works, relocations, refurbishments, and service changes.
  • \n
Programme & Strategic Alignment\n
    \n
  • Ensure projects align with wider portfolio and programme objectives.
  • \n
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of Estates Strategies, Asset Management Plans, and organisational transformation initiatives.
  • \n
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration, shared facilities, co-location, and estate optimisation.
  • \n
  • Represent the organisation at project boards, steering groups, and external partnership forums where required.
  • \n
Change & Transition Management\n
    \n
  • Support the implementation of new facilities, relocations, and workplace changes.
  • \n
  • Minimise disruption to operational services during project delivery.
  • \n
  • Ensure smooth transition into new or refurbished environments.
  • \n
  • Promote effective adoption of new buildings, facilities, and working practices.
  • \n
