Facilities & Maintenance Operative (Swimming Facilities) | London N20 and N12 | Full Time (Job Share Considered) | £25,000-£31,000, depending on experience, qualifications and tasks the employee wishes to take onOur client is a family-run business and was established in 1975. They are well known in the area for their swimming lessons and, over the years, have added to what we offer to the local area. The company has two sites, which are within 10 minutes of each other. The team prides itself on never having to close the pools unless necessary or told to do so for unforeseen circumstances, such as weather conditions.The RoleWe are seeking a reliable and proactive Facilities & Maintenance Operative to join our client's team and support the day-to-day running of their swimming facilities.This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in maintaining safe, clean and welcoming environments. You will be responsible for supporting the upkeep of the facilities, carrying out maintenance checks, assisting with pool operations and ensuring customers and staff have a positive experience.Please note: This role will cover both sites.Key ResponsibilitiesFacilities & MaintenanceComplete daily health and safety checks of equipment, machinery and facilities using established checklistsIdentify faults, report issues and ensure repairs are completed within appropriate timescalesCarry out general maintenance tasks and support the upkeep of both facilitiesComplete daily cleaning duties to ensure the sites remain clean, safe and welcomingManage repairs and liaise with contractors when requiredOrder cleaning products, chemicals, merchandise, and food and drink suppliesPool OperationsWork alongside PSOP and PTOP holders to ensure pool procedures, safety standards and operational requirements are being followedCarry out pool plant maintenance checks and support the smooth operation of the facilitiesComplete chemical checks and support chemical management proceduresEnsure each facility is fully prepared and ready for opening each dayTeam & Operations SupportSupport the management team with the day-to-day operation of the facilitiesShare knowledge and work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standardsHelp create a safe, enjoyable and welcoming environment for customersBe available to work outside normal hours when requiredHours and days can be made flexible to suit the employee's needs and the demands of the business.RequirementsEssentialExcellent customer service skillsPositive outlook and a proactive attitudeAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFull UK driving licenceDesirablePool Plant Operators QualificationSwimming background or experienceWhat's In It For YouFree swimming20% off direct family member lessonsDiscount on food and drinkOpportunity to progress as we expandAll training courses and qualifications paid forCar to travel between our two sitesFree Onsite Parking + petrol allowanceFree UniformWhat's next?
