Integrated Services Programme (ISP) School - WhitstablePart-Time AdministratorBasic Salary: £14,565.47 actual pro-rated salary (£20,391.65 FTE)Hours: 25 hours per weekWorking Pattern: 8:30 am - 1:30 pm, Term Time OnlyLocation: Whitstable, KentBenefitsCompany pensionLife assuranceEmployee Discount SchemeAbout Our SchoolISP School is an independent specialist provision serving children and young people in Kent and Medway who live with their families, foster carers or in residential children's homes.Our school supports children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).We provide high-quality education, adopting a holistic and tailored approach complemented by a full range of support services for each and every one of our pupils.Role ResponsibilitiesPromote the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils and visitorsPromote and act on initiatives to improve quality of life and wellbeing for pupils and staffKey Tasks and ActivitiesCommunicate with ISP staff and other professionals within the school, ISP centres and local authorities from Kent, Medway, Thanet and LondonCommunicate with parents and carers by phone, text and emailReceive and host visitors, maintenance staff, contractors and guests at the schoolManage school correspondence, emails and phone callsArrange and attend meetings, taking minutes as requiredProduce minutes for network meetings, staff meetings, briefings and inclusion meetingsManage the delegated budgets for the Whitstable siteManage petty cash for the Whitstable siteMaintain school and associated documents using SIMS & BehaviourWatchSupport the school's mission by carrying out other associated duties and tasks as directed by the Headteacher from time to timeRequirementsExcellent written and verbal interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent organisational skills, with a systematic approach to workload managementExcellent time-management, planning and work-prioritisation skillsExperience of developing systems and processesExcellent understanding of SIMSAbility to work within allocated budgets and monitor expenditure and costsFull working knowledge of relevant policies, codes of practice and legislationAbility to plan and develop systemsAbility to relate well to children and adultsAbility to work constructively as part of a team, understand school roles and responsibilities, and recognise your own position within theseAbility to evaluate your own learning needs and actively seek learning opportunitiesAbility to maintain the confidentiality of information where appropriateAbility to work under pressureAbility to work on your own initiativeWe are initially looking to appoint a candidate on a part-time basis.
