Space Programme Manager

A leading space technology organisation is looking to add a Programme Manager to their growing UK Space team. Chroma are supporting the search to help meet increasing demand across advanced satellite communications, payload development and space technology programmes.This role offers the opportunity to lead complex space programmes from bid phase through to delivery, working closely with engineering, production, quality and customer teams. It's an excellent opportunity for a Programme Manager who enjoys managing multiple technical workstreams, driving customer engagement and ensuring successful delivery of highly innovative space projects.Programme Manager Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalentMinimum 5 years' experience managing complex technical programmes or projectsStrong understanding of the full programme lifecycle from bid through execution and close-outExperience managing programme budgets, schedules and resource allocationExperience identifying, mitigating and managing programme risks and dependenciesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to communicate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiencesExperience using project scheduling and planning toolsStrong stakeholder and customer management skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to take initiative and drive programme deliveryAbility to travel as requiredThe following experience would be beneficial:Space industry experienceExperience managing the development of spaceflight hardware and/or softwareFamiliarity with communications payload technologiesExperience working with complex systems, analysis and testing activitiesKnowledge of ECSS or other international standardsExperience with formal configuration control processesCapture management and proposal writing experienceExperience supporting contract negotiations and business development activitiesExperience managing multiple projects or work packages within a larger programme environmentThis is a hybrid position offering the opportunity to work on highly innovative space programmes within a collaborative and fast-paced engineering environment.If you have the required skills and experience for this Programme Manager role, then please get in touch ASAP with an up-to-date copy of your CV.
