This is the ideal development role for someone looking to build a career in FMCG sales. Working alongside an experienced Sales Director, you'll be given a portfolio of smaller existing, lapsed and target customer accounts and learn how to grow customer relationships, identify commercial opportunities and manage retail accounts. As your confidence and experience grows, you'll take on larger and more strategic accounts, building the skills needed to progress into National Account Management.Based in their Nottinghamshire head office three days a week, working closely with the Sales Director and wider Sales team, with the flexibility to work from home for the remaining two days.THE ROLEYou'll work on a portfolio of smaller existing, lapsed and target customer accounts from day one, working closely with the Sales Director to develop them. You'll focus on building relationships, identifying commercial opportunities and learning how successful retail accounts are managed. With ongoing coaching and support, you'll develop the skills needed to build a successful career in FMCG sales and National Account Management.Responsibilities include:Managing and growing a portfolio of existing, lapsed and new customer accounts.Contacting existing, lapsed and new customers by phone and email.Understanding your customers needs and recommending the right products.Identifying opportunities to introduce new product ranges and increase customer spend.Preparing quotations and following up enquiries through to order.Monitoring account performance, analysing sales data and identifying opportunities for growth.Visiting customers when appropriate to strengthen relationships and grow their accounts.Attending trade shows with the wider Sales team.Working closely with customer services, operations and marketing to deliver an excellent customer experience.Keeping customer records and sales activity up to date within the CRM system.ABOUT YOUA recent graduate looking to start a career in Sales OR someone with 1-2 years' experience in a sales or head office role looking for more responsibility and a clear route into account management.Commercially minded, organised and eager to learn.Confident building relationships and speaking with customers.Positive, proactive and keen to develop your career.Interested in FMCG, retail or consumer products.Full UK driving licence.THE REWARDYou'll be mentored by a Sales Director with plenty of FMCG experience who is passionate about developing future National Account Managers.
