• Thepostholderwillleadandsupportthedevelopment,design,governanceanddeliveryofsafe,compliant,low-carbonandcost-effectiveM&EsolutionsacrosstheCouncil'smanagedestate,ensuringalignmentwiththeCouncil'sclimatecommitments,statutoryobligations,andbestpracticeengineeringstandards.

2.Keyaccountabilities:ElectricalEngineer

• Toassist,advise,support,designandreviewelectricalengineeringsolutionsforthelocalauthority'smanagedestate.
\n
• Wherethepostholderisappropriatelyqualifiedandexperienced,thismayincludeadvice,design,contractadministrationandsupportofmechanicalengineeringinadditiontoelectricalengineering.
\n
• SupportandadvisetheLocalAuthorityoncompliance,bestpracticeandstatutorycomplianceofelectricalcomponents.
\n
• Toworkwithinamulti-disciplinarytechnicalteamastheelectricalengineersupportingtheteam,ensuringdeadlinesaremetinlinewithrealisticexpectationsindeliveringelectricaldesign,defectdiagnosisreports,fullspecificationofworks/scheduleofworks,feasibilitystudies,conditionsurveys,budgetcosts,Contract

• Tocarryoutdesignworksandfeasibility

• Toproduce,manageanddesignofCADDrawingsfordesign

• Toleadandactincapacityofcontractadministrator(whereappointed)undertakingregularsiteinspectionsandreports.

• TobuildandmanagepositiverelationshipswithallstakeholdersincludingelectedMembers,ThirdSectororganisations,publicsectorpartners,tenants,developers,otherlandownersandclientdepartments.

• ToensurethatalldutiesandresponsibilitiesareperformedinaccordancewiththeCouncil'sPoliciesandProceduresincludingFinancialRegulations,StandingOrders,PersonnelPoliciesandProceduresetc.

• TokeepuptodateindevelopmentsandbestpracticeinElectricalEngineeringandconstruction,managementandleadershipandpublicsector

• Toundertakeanyothertasks,dutiesandresponsibilitiesasdirectedcommensuratewiththegradeandroleofthepost.
