Job Description
An exciting opportunity awaits for a motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) eager to make a real impact across a K-12 school district near Tyrone, PA. With a contract extending throughout the academic year from August 25, 2026, to May 28, 2027, you'll bring your passion and expertise to four unique school communities—two elementary buildings, one middle, and one high school.
In this vital role, you'll collaborate closely with the district’s onsite Occupational Therapist, who will provide guidance and support, ensuring you can deliver meaningful interventions and therapy to students with diverse needs. Flexibility will be key as you manage a full-time schedule (35 hours per week) and provide district-wide services, helping students overcome challenges and achieve their goals in the school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania COTA license (required)
- School-based COTA experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to supporting students from kindergarten through grade 12
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering individualized occupational therapy interventions under supervision of the onsite OT
- Adapt and implement therapeutic activities promoting student engagement in academic and daily routines
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress notes
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to foster student success across all four schools
- Travel within the district as needed to support caseload
