Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving 1-2 classrooms in the Oroville and Paradise area. This flexible, part-time position is ideal for passionate professionals who want to make a meaningful impact with the ability to work in-person just two days per week. The district welcomes both on-site and virtual candidates, and traveling SLPs have successfully contributed in previous years.
Your clinical expertise will directly support students’ communication needs, and you’ll be encouraged to help with supervision of SLPA team members. This role suits both experienced SLP-CCC professionals and eager SLP-CFY candidates ready for hands-on school-based practice in a collaborative educational environment.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current California state SLP license (or eligibility)
- Open to SLP-CCC and SLP-CFY applicants
- Prior experience with school-aged populations preferred
- Comfort providing direct in-person or virtual services two days per week
- Willingness and ability to supervise SLPA staff
- Strong communicator and team collaborator
- Organized, flexible, and patient-centered
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver targeted group and individual therapy sessions
- Collaborate with educators, families, and school staff to support student outcomes
- Maintain timely documentation and progress reports
- Supervise and mentor SLPA staff as assigned
- Participate in IEP meetings as required
