Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - High Point, North Carolina
Job Description
Embark on an impactful contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving students in a supportive educational environment just 35 minutes east of Winston-Salem, NC. This position runs from August 26, 2026, through June 10, 2027, offering both full-time (35 hours per week) and part-time options for flexibility. You’ll play a vital role working with a caseload of approximately 45-50 students, providing essential speech and language services that foster academic and social success.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active or eligible North Carolina SLP license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility (CFY welcome)
- Experience or interest in working at the school level with pediatric populations
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff
- Proficiency in assessment, intervention planning, and progress monitoring for diverse communication needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluations, screenings, and therapy for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and participate in IEP meetings
- Maintain timely and accurate student records and documentation
- Collaborate with educators and families to implement effective therapy strategies
- Support students’ participation in classroom activities and promote inclusive practices
- Serve as an advocate and resource for best practices in pediatric speech and language
