Retail Pharmacist in Oneonta, NY

A pharmacy is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join their team in Oneonta, NY. This role supports the overall management and operation of the pharmacy department to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies while providing patient-centered care. Both interim and permanent positions are available, with a contract opportunity as well.

Location: Oneonta, NY
Schedule:

• Monday-Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Closed Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

• Register with the state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
• Maintain pharmacy compliance with federal, state, and board of pharmacy regulations.
• Oversee pharmacy operations including budget, payroll, scheduling, inventory, and third-party administration.
• Manage and train pharmacy support personnel, ensuring adherence to regulations and company policies.
• Participate in business development efforts within the store and the community.
• Provide patient counseling on drug usage, interactions, side effects, and therapy management.
• Administer immunizations and participate in medication therapy management (MTM) and wellness programs.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace consistent with legal and company standards.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement to promote patient safety.
• Complete all required continuing education.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Valid NY Pharmacist License.
• Immunization Certification with the ability to administer all vaccines.
• Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager is preferred.
