Occupational Therapist School Setting in Kent, WA

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of Washington
• Previous experience—or strong enthusiasm—for working in school-based occupational therapy
• Understanding of K-12 developmental milestones and academic environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt to different school cultures and manage a flexible caseload

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and create individualized treatment plans for students with diverse needs
• Deliver direct and indirect OT services within the educational setting
• Collaborate closely with teachers, special education personnel, and families to integrate therapy goals with classroom activities
• Document progress and maintain compliance with required reporting standards
• Travel to up to five school sites, ensuring comprehensive support for all assigned students
• Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, supporting students’ academic and functional success
