Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Jamaica, New York

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A 340B pharmacy is seeking an Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) with multiple state licenses to provide essential leadership during transition periods. This contract position requires physical presence in either New York or California, depending on where the emergency need arises.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fulfill all Pharmacist in Charge duties, ensuring compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Manage pharmacy operations and staff oversight
• Maintain high standards of patient care and medication safety
• Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and administrative teams to support pharmacy services

Desired Qualifications:

• Active pharmacist licenses in multiple states, with priority given to any of the following: AK, AL, AR, CA, IA, ID, IL, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MS, NE, NV, OK, OR, TN, TX, VA, and WV
• Prior experience serving as Pharmacist in Charge preferred
• Strong knowledge of 340B pharmacy program requirements and compliance
• Ability to work onsite in either New York or California as needed
• Availability for a 3–6 month contract period
• Willingness to cover days and afternoon shifts
