Step into an impactful role supporting students' communication goals in a welcoming high school environment! This full-time contract position runs from September 8 through December 18 and is designed to cover a leave of absence within a single school site near Mundelein, IL. You’ll work alongside another full-time SLP, ensuring collaboration and support are always at hand.

Your caseload will focus on 50 high school students, with four students requiring consult-only services. The position includes responsibility for approximately seven evaluations throughout the assignment, allowing you to focus on quality and individualized care. This opportunity is well-suited for professionals seeking a team-focused setting and a manageable workload.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
  • Experience or interest in school-based and pediatric speech-language pathology
  • Familiarity with high school caseloads and consultative services
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to collaborate and engage in a dynamic school environment

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy to a diverse group of high school students
  • Conduct thorough assessments and prepare detailed evaluation reports (approximately seven during the assignment)
  • Provide consultative support for designated students
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with on-site and remote professionals
  • Maintain all required documentation in compliance with school guidelines
