Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An established pharmacy operation in Greensboro, NC is seeking a skilled Infusion Pharmacist to provide vital support on a contract basis. This role offers immediate coverage with the possibility of long-term engagement or permanent hire. The ideal professional will have a strong foundation in home infusion pharmacy practices and thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centric environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify medication orders related to infusion therapies
  • Oversee preparation and dispensing of sterile compounded medications ensuring highest quality
  • Comply with USP standards and other regulatory requirements
  • Provide clinical guidance and drug information to pharmacy staff and patients
  • Collaborate effectively with the pharmacy team to uphold safe and efficient workflow
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation for compliance and quality assurance

Schedule:

  • Anticipated 3 to 5 days per week, with specific days to be confirmed

Qualifications:

  • Active North Carolina Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Recent experience in infusion or home infusion pharmacy practice
  • Strong expertise in sterile compounding techniques
  • Comprehensive knowledge of USP guidelines and standards
  • Ability to work independently while adapting to changing priorities quickly

Additional Information:

  • Not required to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) unless converted to permanent hire
  • Willingness to assume PIC responsibilities if hired permanently
  • Contract assignment with potential opportunity for temp-to-perm placement
