Responsibilities

Draw blood samples from patients accurately and safely, including pediatric and geriatric populations

Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures

Explain procedures to patients to promote trust and ease any concerns

Maintain detailed records and documentation of collections and procedures

Adhere to safety guidelines and uphold a professional, confidential environment

Perform specimen processing duties in both clinical and forensic contexts as needed

Support process excellence and contribute positively to a team-focused environment

Required Skills

Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric blood draws

Ability to provide error-free work in a fast-paced environment

Excellent customer service skills in a retail or service setting

Proficiency in keyboard and data entry tasks

Effective communication and organizational skills

Additional Skills & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required

Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred

Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington)

Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; over one year preferred

Two years of related work experience is preferred

Schedule flexibility to include weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as staffing needs
