Mail Order LTC Staff Pharmacist | Incline Village, Nevada

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist position supporting Long Term Care and Mail Order pharmacy services. The role involves managing prescription dispensing, patient consultations, staff supervision, and inventory control within a regulated healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accept and dispense prescription medications ensuring accuracy and compliance with laws.
• Monitor patient medication adherence and usage patterns to prevent issues.
• Maintain confidential patient records and manage pharmacy documentation.
• Advise patients on medication usage, potential side effects, interactions, and answer inquiries.
• Provide additional patient services such as smoking cessation guidance, blood pressure and cholesterol monitoring.
• Educate patients on the correct use of medical devices including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Prepare compounded medications and sterile solutions following established protocols.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks to maintain efficient operations.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to resolve drug-related problems and optimize patient care.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree is required.
• A valid Nevada Pharmacy license is mandatory.
• Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) pharmacy settings is highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, medication management, and patient counseling.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Schedule and Location:

• Location: Incline Village, NV.
• Shifts: Monday to Friday, either 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM or 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM.
• Rotating every other Saturday.
• Duration: 8-week contract.
