A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) passionate about making a difference in school settings. This assignment covers a leave from August 3rd through October 23rd and is conveniently located near Dripping Springs, TX. You’ll work approximately 37.5 hours each week, from about 8am to 4pm, serving a dynamic and diverse group of elementary students.

Experience a balanced caseload of around 50 students, including a mix of general education, life skills, and third-grade classrooms. Responsibilities include direct intervention, push-in services for life skills groups, and producing meaningful documentation. This role is ideal for an SLP who enjoys collaborating with educational teams and supporting a wide variety of student needs.

Qualifications:

  • Active Texas SLP license required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience working within school settings is highly valued
  • Strong skills in developing PLAAFP statements and student goals
  • Ability to complete speech-only evaluations before October deadlines
  • Familiarity with attending and contributing to MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) meetings
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 50 elementary students
  • Deliver both group and individualized speech therapy (including push-in for life skills and G3)
  • Write individualized PLAAFPs and set appropriate student goals
  • Complete required speech-only evaluations within the specified timeline
  • Participate in MTSS meetings, observe students, and work collaboratively with the school team
