This full-time contract opportunity spans the entire 2026-2027 school year and offers a rewarding blend of collaboration and hands-on support for students across a dynamic range of settings.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with prior experience in school-based practice.
  • Familiarity with play-based assessments for young children (ages 3-5) is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate interventions for preschool and middle school populations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and school staff.
  • Ability to adapt evaluation and treatment approaches to suit various educational environments.

Role Highlights and Responsibilities:

  • Spend 3-4 days each week at the PreK Evaluation Center, conducting comprehensive play-based assessments for children ages 3-5, identifying needs and preparing recommendations for support.
  • Dedicate 1-2 days weekly providing direct occupational therapy intervention in PreK centers and a local middle school, fostering growth and skill development in students.
  • Document assessment results and therapy progress in accordance with educational and professional standards.
  • Collaborate with educators and families to create and implement individualized strategies tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning of holistic, child-centered educational programming.
