Working part-time during school hours, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to identify and address student needs, fostering skills vital for classroom and life success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of students referred for occupational therapy services.
  • Create individualized treatment plans and measurable IEP goals tailored to each student.
  • Deliver both direct and consultative OT services per each student's IEP.
  • Partner with teachers, school psychologists, speech-language pathologists, and families to support student outcomes.
  • Recommend appropriate classroom accommodations, adaptive tools, and environmental modifications.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, progress updates, and Medicaid billing when necessary.
  • Attend IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions.
  • Track student progress and modify intervention plans as needed.
  • Educate staff and families on strategies to help students thrive.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
  • Active Ohio Occupational Therapist License.
  • NBCOT certification required.
  • Preference for previous school-based or pediatric experience, but open to dedicated new graduates.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence in working independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
