Pipefitter(s) - Long Term, Wages Increased

C.A. Jones Inc. is now hiring Pipe Fitters for long term, national defense work underway in Pascagoula, MS.

Per Diem is available for qualified non-local personnel

Applicants must be able to pass a 7 year background investigation , hair follicle drug screen & Audiogram prior to job start.

Basic Qualifications:

· Minimum 4 Yrs. trade experience.

· Basic math, reading and comprehension skills

· Knowledge of the layout, fit-up, fabrication and installation of pipe, flanges and valves

· Read and interpret trade drawings and/or blueprints utilizing both metric and standard measurements

Job Description

Pipe Fitters are responsible for fitting pipe consisting of various materials such as steel, galvanized, copper, copper-nickel and stainless along with the appropriate valves and fittings, utilizing various tools and equipment in accordance with drawing, arrangements and blue prints. The shipyard production areas at times involve working at different heights, confined spaces, different weather conditions as well as multiple shifts 24 hours a day. As with most every position in the shipyard, a Pipefitter may be required to work either day or night dependent upon the number of ships under construction at any one point in time. The client stresses the practice of working safely in all situations with safety procedures meeting, and most times, exceeding industry standards.
