Full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) are needed to provide essential services during the first six weeks of the upcoming school year, helping students thrive while direct hires complete observation hours for licensure. End Date: September 25, 2026
Hours: 35 hours per week (full-time)
What We're Looking For:
- Active Texas SLPA licensure (required)
- Experience working in school settings or pediatric populations is a plus
- Ability to quickly complete Texas fingerprinting requirements if not already in the system
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to adapt as caseload and school assignments are finalized
- Commitment to a collaborative, student-centered approach
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver direct therapy and support to students, under the supervision of licensed SLPs
- Assist with assessments, documentation, and therapy planning
- Work across multiple schools within the district as assigned (schools/caseload TBD)
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support individualized student goals
- Uphold all ethical, legal, and professional standards in accordance with district and state guidelines
This contract is designed to provide critical SLPA support for approximately six weeks, with the possibility of extension based on district needs. You’ll play a key role in helping students start the year strong while gaining broad experience in an educational setting.
