In this full-time position, you'll support a single middle school student, collaborating closely with educational staff and guiding an Ed Assistant. Your expertise in both healthcare and school-based social work settings will drive your success, helping to ensure a safe, encouraging, and effective learning environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid licensure to practice as a Social Worker in the state
- Previous experience working in schools or with students with high needs, preferably at the middle school level
- Strong background in supporting individuals with autism
- Ability to provide clear, compassionate guidance to educational assistants and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 support to a middle school student with severe autism, focusing on daily social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement individualized strategies to encourage student growth and independence
- Provide guidance, resources, and training to the assigned Education Assistant
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to coordinate comprehensive support plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and report student progress as required
