Make a meaningful difference supporting the well-being and growth of students as a dedicated School Counselor. This full-time contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 school year, providing essential emotional and academic guidance to K-12 students at a local school. A licensed school counselor—or a school-certified social worker—will flourish here, working collaboratively with faculty and staff to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL); please have documentation ready to submit.
  • Acceptable candidates include school counselors or school-certified social workers.
  • Experience working with K-12 students preferred.
  • Strong skills in counseling, crisis intervention, and case management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver counseling services to a diverse caseload of K-12 students, offering support in academic, behavioral, and emotional matters.
  • Develop and implement individualized interventions and group programs designed to encourage student success.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to address student needs and support a positive school climate.
  • Maintain timely, confidential records and participate in committee and team meetings as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with educational best practices and district guidelines.

Schedule Details:

  • This is a full-time, contract role: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
  • Role follows the academic calendar, from August 12, 2026, through May 28, 2027.
  • K-12 caseload (specifics to be determined).
