Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year in the Midlothian, VA area. This full-time role centers around providing Occupational Therapy services to K–12th grade students, with a high likelihood of primarily working with elementary age groups. You’ll enjoy a dynamic position, possibly traveling between multiple school sites while contributing to students’ independence and growth. The final caseload size and specifics are in the process of being finalized, giving you the chance to help shape service delivery for the year.
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current OT licensure (or eligibility) in Virginia
- Prior experience in a school setting is highly valued
- Comfortable collaborating with a diverse team of educators, administrators, and families
- Excellent communication skills for effective consultation and documentation
- Flexibility to adapt as assignments and caseloads are finalized
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services as outlined in students’ IEPs
- Assess and evaluate students to determine therapy needs and progress
- Guide and consult with teachers and staff to help implement therapeutic interventions in classroom environments
- Maintain timely and accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
- Travel between school sites as required by caseload assignments
