Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a licensed Pharmacist in Charge to oversee pharmacy operations with a potential pathway to a permanent role. The position involves essential leadership responsibilities while performing the standard duties of a pharmacist. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering a consistent weekday work routine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage pharmacy operations as the Pharmacist in Charge, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Counsel patients on medication use, potential side effects, and safety information
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with clinic staff regarding medication-related inquiries and concerns
Qualifications:
- Active and clear Alabama Pharmacist license
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience within a pharmacy setting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and standards
- Excellent communication skills for patient counseling and interdisciplinary coordination
