Staff Pharmacist in Arlington, TN
Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a motivated pharmacist eager to develop expertise within a specialty pharmacy setting focused on complex infused therapies. Location: Arlington, TN (work site in Cordova, TN)
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care for patients managing hemophilia, immune deficiencies, autoimmune disorders, and other conditions requiring infused medications.
- Develop specialized knowledge in factor replacement therapies, emicizumab, and a variety of subcutaneous and intravenous infusions used in chronic care.
- Educate patients and caregivers on drug administration techniques, side effect monitoring, medication adherence, and safe handling in home settings.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and internal care coordinators to ensure seamless and coordinated patient care.
- Work with reimbursement specialists to navigate insurance requirements, obtain prior authorizations, and facilitate access to financial assistance resources.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist in Tennessee (required); Arkansas license highly preferred.
- Willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
- Experience with CareTend software is highly desirable; training is available for the right candidate.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, self-motivation, and a drive to learn and advance within the specialty pharmacy field.
