Job Description
A Tribal Clinic/Hospital in beautiful Arizona is seeking a Pharmacist to serve as an Emergency Department (ED) Pharmacist on a night shift rotation. This unique opportunity offers a true decentralized ED pharmacist role within a remote tribal healthcare setting. This position is ideal for a pharmacist with clinical experience who is eager to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment and is open to obtaining BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct pharmaceutical care in the Emergency Department during night shifts
- Collaborate closely with medical staff to ensure safe and effective medication use
- Manage medication therapy and assist with emergency response efforts
- Navigate and document patient care using the proprietary RPMS system, which parallels the VA’s Vista system
- Maintain high standards of clinical practice in a decentralized pharmacy role
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist (AZ license not required due to tribal facility status)
- Clinical experience, ideally in hospital or emergency department settings
- Willingness to work in a remote, tribal clinic setting
- Residency or hospital experience is highly preferred
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills essential
- Commitment to obtaining BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for emergency preparedness
Schedule:
- 7 days on, 7 days off
- 10-hour night shifts
