Job Description
Are you passionate about supporting young learners as they develop essential communication skills? A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide vital services to elementary students. This full-time position covers 37.5 hours per week and is set to begin on 9/26, covering a leave through 1/6, with potential for extension should coverage still be needed. The role is based at a single site, working with a manageable caseload of 46 elementary students in an encouraging, collaborative school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Possession of (or eligibility for) SLP-CCC or active enrollment in a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Previous experience in a school setting is valued, but not required; new graduates are welcome to apply
- Ability to effectively assess, diagnose, and treat a range of speech and language disorders in children
- Strong organization and time management skills, along with the capacity to communicate clearly with students, teachers, and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to elementary students according to their IEPs
- Conduct assessments and document progress
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ communication goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to development of student plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records
