Job Description
Step into an enriching role supporting elementary students as a Speech Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational setting near Manitowoc, WI. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact, covering a leave from late September to early January—with the possibility of extension. You'll work onsite, closely guiding a manageable caseload of 46 students at one elementary building, providing essential speech and language services that set the foundation for lifelong learning.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFY candidates welcome
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience is valued, but support is available for new graduates
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess communication needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy, both individual and group, within the school setting
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions when necessary
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, special educators, and family members
- Maintain compliance with state and federal school guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and related school activities
