School Behavior Specialist in Chester, PA

Step into an impactful role supporting K-12 students as a full-time Behavior Specialist in an onsite position, starting August 24, 2026, and continuing through June 10, 2027. You’ll work closely with students, staff, and administrators, leveraging your expertise to train and coach school professionals, enhance instructional practices for students with Autism, and directly model evidence-based strategies in classrooms.

In this contract role, you will:

• Guide, coach, and train both new and returning staff on best practices in behavioral support, including developing and refreshing knowledge of IEPs, BIPs, and student-specific plans.
• Work hands-on in classrooms, supporting the establishment of Verbal Repertoires and modeling techniques proven to help students with Autism thrive.
• Oversee and facilitate professional development, serving as a point of contact for all Year 1 instructional, assessment, and logistical queries.
• Collaborate with external consultants to ensure district practices align with state standards and frameworks.
• Conduct in-vivo coaching, providing constructive feedback and continuous monitoring of practice implementation.
• Facilitate peer learning, transferring effective techniques from anchor classrooms to other autism support settings across the district.
• Remain accessible onsite to support staff, students, and administrators, particularly during the start-of-year transition.

Ideal candidates will offer:

• Valid Pennsylvania educator certification in Special Education or a related field
• Proven expertise in autism support or special education, with solid application of evidence-based interventions
• Ability to complete all required Pennsylvania clearances
• Experience within urban school environments and adaptability to diverse district settings
• Reliable transportation and availability, with flexibility to work between 7:15AM and 4PM without accommodation
• Confidence in conducting Zoom interviews
