Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid California teaching credential with authorization as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)

• Ability to adapt and modify curriculum materials for diverse learning needs
• Comfort with assistive technology and specialized instructional techniques for visually impaired learners

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and educational support for students with visual impairments, individually and in groups
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams
• Adapt classroom materials and provide recommendations for accessible learning resources and assistive technology
• Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to foster student independence
• Conduct functional vision assessments to support student programming and accommodation
• Maintain clear documentation of services and student progress
