Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Wilmington, Delaware

Step into a pivotal role supporting students' communication development in vibrant educational settings just a short drive from Wilmington, DE. Multiple contract opportunities are available for the upcoming academic year, starting August 24, 2026, and extending through June 16, 2027. Full-time onsite Speech-Language Pathologists are preferred, but hybrid arrangements (three days onsite, two days remote) are welcome. Openings exist for both certified SLPs and SLPAs, with assignments in elementary schools as well as specialized programs for students with significant medical complexities and intensive support needs.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC), Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
• Valid state licensure for SLPs or SLPAs
• Experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare settings strongly preferred
• Background in teletherapy and hybrid service delivery a plus
• Ability to provide compassionate, individualized care for children with complex communication and medical requirements
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to students with varying communication needs
• Design tailored intervention plans in collaboration with educational staff and families
• Support students in both general education and specialized educational settings
• Utilize teletherapy platforms for hybrid caseloads when necessary
• Monitor progress, document sessions, and participate in IEP meetings
• Serve as a resource and mentor, as appropriate, to support student and staff success
