Step into an engaging school-based Occupational Therapist opportunity near Broomfield, CO, where you’ll make a meaningful difference in the lives of students from elementary through high school. This contract role spans the academic year from August 18, 2026, to June 3, 2027, and offers a consistent schedule: 34 hours per week, working Tuesday through Friday (with Mondays off!). You’ll spend three days supporting an elementary school and one day at a high school, providing vital OT services designed to empower students’ educational and developmental success.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Colorado
- Previous experience in school settings strongly preferred
- Ability to work effectively with both elementary and high school populations
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Passion for supporting students with diverse needs and abilities
- Commitment to working onsite throughout the assignment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based OT interventions aligned with students’ IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to maximize student progress
- Document session notes and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state policies
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute expert input for integrated student support
- Adapt therapeutic activities to the educational environment, promoting participation and independence
