School Psychologist | Sterling Heights, Michigan

Exciting opportunities are available for School Psychologists interested in making a lasting impact on students' well-being! You'll have the chance to support students across 1–2 buildings, providing vital psychological services throughout the 2026–2027 academic year. This is a contract role with a client in need of collaborative professionals who want to go beyond testing—helping implement intervention strategies and promoting a healthy school climate.

Within this dynamic environment, you'll work closely with educators, administrators, and families to assess student needs and contribute to holistic and ongoing support plans. The client values a proactive approach and encourages School Psychologists to offer their expertise not only through assessments but also through meaningful involvement in daily activities and school-wide mental health initiatives.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Michigan School Psychologist Certification (open to licensed travelers willing to obtain Michigan licensure quickly upon job offer)
• Previous experience in educational settings is preferred
• Expertise in psychological assessment, intervention, and consultation
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to foster positive relationships with students, families, and school staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students using standardized testing and observation to identify behavioral, emotional, or learning needs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and monitor progress of intervention and support plans
• Deliver crisis support, counseling, and prevention programs as needed within assigned buildings
• Actively participate in multidisciplinary teams to guide the special education process
• Contribute ideas and energy to school-wide initiatives focused on student mental health and well-being
