We're seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for a full-time contract role during the 2026-2027 school year, supporting PreK and middle school students. This position offers a dynamic mix of evaluation and direct therapy in a collaborative, child-centered setting.
Your main focus will be on conducting play-based assessments of 3-5-year-olds at the PreK Evaluation Center for most of each week, along with providing direct therapy at local PreK centers and a middle school. This diverse schedule allows you to blend evaluation expertise with hands-on intervention, working closely with educators and families to support foundational skills at a crucial stage of development.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license and credentials for school-based practice
- Experience in pediatric or school-based OT, preferably familiar with early childhood settings
- Comfortable with play-based assessments and engaging young children in evaluation activities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility and organizational skills to manage both assessment and therapy days
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive, play-based evaluations of preschool-age children (3-5 years) to determine OT needs
- Interpret assessment results, write professional reports, and participate in eligibility meetings
- Provide direct therapy services in PreK and middle school settings, following individualized education plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service professionals
- Contribute to ongoing student progress monitoring and documentation
