A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a school psychologist with a passion for early childhood education and behavioral intervention. This on-site role focuses on supporting Pre-K students, particularly those in the First Step Transition program, ensuring school readiness, fostering social-emotional skills, and promoting positive classroom behaviors. The assignment runs from August 14, 2026, through June 4, 2027, with a typical workweek of 35 hours and occasional additional time as needed.

Key Qualifications:

• Certification or eligibility as a school psychologist
• Experience working with young children, ideally Pre-K
• Familiarity with school-based behavioral intervention services
• Strong skills in conducting preschool evaluations and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., Psych, OT, PT, SLP, nurse)
• Excellent communication and consultation skills with educators and families
• Prior experience with programs like First Step Transition is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Provide behavioral intervention for Pre-K students to promote school readiness and social-emotional development
• Implement and monitor the First Step Transition program, incorporating teacher consultation and regular data collection
• Deliver early intervention and transition support for Pre-K students entering school
• Administer and participate in multidisciplinary preschool evaluations alongside OT, PT, SLP, Autism Consultant, nurse, and other staff
• Engage and collaborate with caregivers throughout assessment and intervention processes
• Manage a caseload of approximately 70 students, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based intervention and support
• Assist children and parents during two-day comprehensive testing visits
