School Psychologist in Alcalde, NM

Supporting elementary-age learners across two sites, you will play a pivotal role in developing impactful behavior plans and empowering staff to nurture positive, inclusive environments.

In this role, you’ll enjoy the variety and satisfaction of working closely with students, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams, providing both pre-referral and evaluative support for a dynamic school community throughout the 2026-2027 academic year.

Preferred Background:

• Valid credential/license as a School Psychologist or School Social Worker in New Mexico
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing individualized behavior intervention plans
• Strong background in supporting students with diverse needs, with a focus on elementary populations
• Ability to collaborate seamlessly with teachers, counselors, administrators, and families
• Proficiency in assessment, consultation, and writing clear, actionable recommendations
• Creative problem-solving skills and a compassionate, professional demeanor

Primary Duties:

• Conduct student assessments and collaborate on the evaluation of students referred for services
• Develop, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans in multiple settings
• Serve as a resource to school staff and families, offering guidance on managing behaviors
• Support data-driven decision-making through thorough documentation and progress monitoring
• Participate in team meetings, contribute to IEP/504 processes, and support pre-referral activities
• Provide consultation and training to staff to enhance supportive practices
