Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting the academic and developmental growth of students in Birmingham, Alabama. This on-site role runs from August 7 through June 10, and leverages your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational setting. What we're looking for:
- Valid Professional Educator Certification
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited college or university
- Strong understanding of federal and state regulations surrounding special education and services for children with disabilities
- Extensive knowledge of pediatric and adolescent cognitive and physical development
- Familiarity with medical and psychological diagnostic instruments pertinent to children with various disabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of terminology in physical and learning disabilities
Preferred credentials include ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure.

- Deliver evidence-based speech and language services to students as determined by their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support student success and advocate for appropriate interventions
- Maintain thorough and confidential records in compliance with regulations
- Accurately interpret and apply relevant laws to best serve your students
- Foster supportive relationships with students, families, and educational teams
