Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active, valid California SLP license (or eligibility to obtain before start date)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants also considered
  • School-based SLP experience is highly valued
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with IEP writing and implementing therapy in an educational setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, articulation, fluency, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Document progress, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure student success
  • Incorporate evidence-based practices and creative therapy techniques to engage students
  • Offer guidance to classroom staff on implementing communication strategies in the classroom
