School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Arlington Heights, Illinois

Bring your passion for supporting young learners to a rewarding contract opportunity working with Pre-K students in a dynamic, collaborative school setting. This speech-language pathology role is designed to fit your schedule, with the flexibility of a 0.8 position spanning August 19 to November 11. You’ll enjoy the variety of working two to four days per week, from 8:10 AM to 3:20 PM, primarily at the Madison location— with some engagement at a nearby building, fostering connections across both environments.

Your expertise will make a meaningful difference for approximately 35 students identified with speech/language needs, delivering a continuum of services ranging from speech-only support to interventions within self-contained classrooms. Shared office space means you’ll have the chance to collaborate with fellow professionals and be part of an engaged educational community. Dedicated meeting time on Tuesdays allows you to share insights and learn collaboratively with your peers.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current CCC-SLP credentials required
• Strong background in working with pre-K/early childhood populations
• Experience supporting students who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
• Skilled in conducting speech-language evaluations; familiarity with PBAs is beneficial
• Comfortable navigating a caseload of diverse needs and collaborating with multiple teams
• Flexibility to work 2–4 days weekly, and available for Tuesday meetings as needed
• Demonstrates empathy, adaptability, and a commitment to inclusive education

• Provide therapy and monitoring services for young learners in both speech-only and self-contained classroom settings
• Conduct assessments and contribute to multidisciplinary team evaluations
• Collaborate closely with families, teachers, and district SLPs
