An opportunity is available for an experienced Infusion Pharmacist to provide essential support in a busy pharmacy operation in Greensboro, NC. This contract assignment requires coverage of 3-5 days per week, with the potential for long-term placement or permanent hire. The role demands a pharmacist skilled in home infusion and sterile compounding, ready to work efficiently in a patient-centered environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review and verify medication orders specifically for infusion therapies
- Oversee preparation and dispensing of sterile compounded medications
- Ensure compliance with USP <797> and <800> standards
- Provide clinical support and drug information to pharmacy staff and patients
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to optimize workflow while ensuring patient safety
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina Pharmacist license in good standing
- Recent experience in infusion or home infusion pharmacy practice
- Strong expertise in sterile compounding techniques
- Thorough knowledge of USP <797> and <800> guidelines
- Ability to work independently, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and maintain high standards of accuracy
Schedule:
