Speech Language Pathologist in West Chester, PA

In this vital role, you’ll be instrumental in advancing communication for students ages 3–21, many of whom are non-verbal and present with visual impairments, cognitive, medical, or orthopedic challenges. You’ll provide services across direct, consultative, and group models, tailored to each student’s daily routine and functional goals.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Pennsylvania SLP license (or eligibility)
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
• Experience with students who have complex communication needs is highly preferred
• Background using AAC devices, eye gaze, tactile/picture communication systems, and low-tech tools

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized communication systems that foster student independence
• Collaborate with educational staff to integrate communication goals into classroom activities
• Deliver speech-language therapy through direct, consult, and group sessions
• Maintain thorough records and adhere to all compliance requirements
• Serve a caseload of approximately 25–40 students in partnership with support staff

Position Details:

• 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• Term: August 24th (orientation) through June 11, 2027 (may extend for makeup days)
• Engage in meaningful work impacting students across the age spectrum, with a strong team focus on functional success
